Rocker Chris Daughtry has cancelled his concert tour following the tragic news of his daughter’s sudden death.
Local police found the American Idol alum’s 25-year-old daughter Hannah dead in her Fentress County home this Friday.
“Due to the unexpected death of Chris and Deanna Daughtry’s daughter, Hannah, all currently scheduled shows for the coming week for Daughtry have been postponed,” a representative of the singer told People.
The statement continued, “The Daughtry family thanks you for your understanding and respectfully asks for privacy during this very difficult time. Further details will be made available at a later date. The investigation into this tragic death is still ongoing.”

Chris has taken to Instagram to address the tragedy in a touching post that read, “I am still processing the last 24 hours. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken. I just recently lost my mother to cancer but I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and I was processing it privately. We never got to say goodbye to our precious Hannah and it’s another huge hit to our family.”
He continued, “Thank you all for your kind words and condolences. They are truly felt and appreciated. I am now taking time be present with my family as we attempt to heal from this devastating loss. Hannah, I love you. I miss you. I wish I could hold you. This hurts so deeply”.

Medical examiners are still investigating the cause of her sudden death.
Hannah is wife Deanna’s child from a previous relationship, along with her brother Griffin, who is 23. Chris and Deanna also share 10-year-old twins Adalynn Rose and Noah James.
Chris shot to stardom when he placed fourth on the fifth season of American Idol. He released his first album in November of 2006, and has since received four Grammy nominations.
The family man’s original Idol audition features both his wife and late daughter — just a school girl at the time — with his spouse describing him as “such a good husband and a good father” (watch a snippet above or view the full clip here).
His band’s sixth studio album, The Dearly Beloved, was released on September 17 alongside their single ‘Lioness’.
Before the tragic death of Hannah, the band had begun to tour around America. They were scheduled to make their sixth stop this Friday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey before news of the tragedy was delivered.
